This April, on what would have been Captain Sir Tom Moore’s 101st birthday, his family have invited the world to take part in a fundraising challenge to honour his life and legacy.
Captain Tom More captivated the UK in 2020 when he raised over £32 million for the NHS by walking 100 laps around his garden before his 100th birthday.
The World War 11 veteran passed away in hospital on February 2, 2021, after contracting COVID-19, but his family wants people to keep his charitable memory alive with their own “Captain Tom 100” challenges.
Captain Tom was not only a war veteran and a fundraising hero, he was an animal lover.
To his family’s dogs, he was a strong favourite. Always equipped with a stash of dog treats, he knew the way to a dog’s heart was really through their stomach.
By taking part in the Captain Tom 100 Challenge for Mission Rabies, you can help ensure dogs and families around the world can live the life they deserve - free from rabies.
Captain Tom was 100 years old, and he was proud to be so. That’s why he walked 100 laps of his garden. It’s time to create your own 100 – a challenge around the number 100.
What’s your 100?
Let Captain Tom be your inspiration and do something amazing, whether it’s…
- 100 cartwheels
- 100 laps of your garden
- 100 minutes of gaming
- baking 100 cupcakes
- singing for 100 minutes
Let’s do it. So, what’s next?
Choose your own challenge based on the number 100
Send the link to your family and friends and ask them to support you
