What another amazing month!! With your support, we’ve administered 77,320 vaccinations so far this year which is truly incredible!

The invincible Goa team have completed 36,526 vaccinations so far this year, accounting for almost half of our yearly total. Thanks as ever to the guidance of the Goan Government in supporting this incredible project.

Requests for the truck from municipalities in Goa are increasing which is hugely encouraging as our programme continues to expand. Thanks to the teams that have made it such a success these last few months. It’s great to see the whole community involved!

The team sterilised 792 dogs and vaccinated 1,984 dogs this month. It’s so important for us to continue building a solid surveillance unit in the city and empower the Government to act rapidly whenever rabies cases are identified. We are working hard to ensure that rabies elimination work in the city continues to power forward.

We are aiming to increase the number of schools reached in Malawi again this year and our Education Officers have started to work with secondary schools. We conducted an introduction meeting with 25 secondary school head teachers in Blantyre this month covering basic knowledge on rabies and an explanation of Mission Rabies’ unique education lesson.  Our Education Officers began conducting visits to secondary schools in Blantyre immediately following the workshop and have already reached 1,814 learners and 35 teachers in Blantyre city!!
