The Mission Rabies team were shouting about the incredible work being done in the fight to eliminate rabies.

Last week marked the latest annual Royal Highland Show and the Mission Rabies team were up in Edinburgh to tell everyone about the lifesaving work being done to try and eliminate rabies. Members of the public were invited to test out vaccinating our demonstration dog Geoff, as well as take part in activities to learn more about the work we do. Our team were handing out leaflets and branded wristbands to help spread the word throughout the event. This is an element of the partnership between Mission Rabies and post-doctoral researchers at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh looking into the disease and to establish how such vital research can translate into real-life impact out in the field on our projects. By understanding more about rabies, how it develops and affects those who are infected, and by supporting great research, we will be able to work more effectively and help more communities across the globe to eliminate rabies.
